In the Seniors Hub we have been learning protecting our Moana waterway for reading and what we had to do today was make a poster or a article about protecting our Moana waterway. This is my poster I made, its about keeping our ocean safe by not throwing rubbish around and this poster is when we don’t litter and the other side is when we litter. Hope You Like It (:
In the seniors hub we have been learning Anzac for reading and we did a acrostic poem, it basically means like you have to pick a word and each letter has to be a sentence that relates to the word you pick. The second thing I did was a haiku poem basically all you do is you have to have a sentence that has syllables in it but Miss Bell said you have to have 5 or 7 syllables in your sentence. Third thing was a limerick but it was easy cause all you had to do was write a poem that rhymes. Lastly was a free Verse, it means you can write what ever you like that relates to Anzac. So I hope you like it.
In the Seniors hub we have been learning Canterbury and also we did a project where there was question and we had to pick one and start writing 5 facts about and also our knowledge learning what makes Canterbury Unique. In the Seniors hub we have been doing reading, writing and maths so today I am going to tell what we have been doing this year. For reading we have been learning about the Cyclone Alfred and also the New Zealand tornadoes and we did a rubric slideshow where we had to answer a number of questions to show our knowledge about tornadoes and we had slideshow about the tornadoes and the cyclone Alfred and answer so questions.
Also for writing we have been learning to add more details into our writing and addding descriptive writing by using figuritave language such as similes and metaphors and also personification. We also wrote a scary house story and adding similes and metaphors. For personification we made a art that gives human qualities that is not alive, for example I wrote the clock was very sleepy but the clock can’t sleep so that is a personification.
Lastly for maths we do collaboration for maths and I am in Mr Gold’s class, and we have been learning converting improper and top heavy fractions and at first I started stuggling with it but I got used to it and started understanding it and it was really fun. Hope you like it (:
In the Seniors hub we were learning how descriptive writing is and also adding more details into our writing. So we were writing about a scary house and using our who, what, when, why and how and I had to do 3 go’s on Canva on the magic where we had to write anything you want and it can show what you said. So my first go was I just wrote a scary house and my 2 go was I add puctuation and my last go was I add personification and punctuation and be more descripitive. Hope you like it 🙂
In the Seniors hub we have been learning on how to do a cultural deep dive on a country, I already made a poster about it but now we had to make a slideshow and add facts about what country we are doing so this is mine and I did mine about Tonga so I hope you like it. 🙂
Kia ora so in the Seniors Hub we have been learning people and places for inquiry and today we learned hot to make a timeline, and we had to do at least sixteen max, eight about Belfast place and the other eight has to be about all around Christchurch so this is my timeline and I hope you like it. 🙂
In the Seniors Hub we did a Book Reveiw on what book we got from the library, If you don’t know what a book Reveiw is it is basically like whatever book you got from the library or anywhere you write facts about it like who is the author or illustrator and you can also rate it and tell us why so this is my Book Reveiw on The Hunger Games book.
